An Interview with Joseph Sclafani, Ph.D.: The Educated Parent: Child rearing in the 21st Century

Dr. Sclafani is Professor of Psychology and Associate Director, TECO Energy Center for Leadership at the University of Tampa. He has previously served as the Dean College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the university. His scholarly background is in child psychology and human development. In addition to his books on parenting he and his wife co-authored a book on re-marriage issues. He received the Louise Loy Hunter Award as Outstanding Faculty from the university and was also chosen as recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Student Life award.
Dr. Sclafani maintains his license as a psychologist in Florida and has completed Florida Supreme Court certified family mediation training. With his wife, he conducts marriage preparation workshops for area couples.
